It connects to SADX 2004/2011 and SA2 in a roundabout way. Due to the connectivity functions being stripped from the games when they were originally ported to PC, it requires a importer/exporter tool to work.
You have to export your Chao from SADX/SA2 with the importer/exporter tool, save it, then import it to TCGDX. When you're done, you have to export it from TCGDX, save it, then import back to the game with the importer/exporter tool.
Yeah, you still have to be in the chao garden to do it as the Importer/Exporter detects when you are in the Chao World. The creator of the Importer/exported tool has other tools related to it if it interests anyone.
I might make a blog post about that soon... also, nice pic! What's it running on? I tried playing it on my Steam Deck but something about the shader I used for swapping palettes makes it crash...
The amount of serotonin I experienced when I found this was immeasurable. When I was a child I would literally make paper doll versions of the tiny chao garden to play with when I had to put the gameboy advanced away, so finding this has improved my day considerably.

That’s an anbernic rg40xxh, it’s using a compatibility layer to translate the android yo-yo libraries to arm.
good game question tho, how can i open the chao eggs to have more chao
The garden needs to be vacant for an egg to hatch. You can only have one Chao in the garden at a time.

Is this still getting worked on? Thank you for what you've done so far <3
